1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit trendingai.ai, subscribe to our newsletter, create an account, or submit a user review.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: email address (newsletter, account, review verification), display name, review text and ratings, messages you send us.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Affiliate click data: when you click an affiliate link, we and the affiliate network may record that a click occurred, its time, and a click identifier so the merchant can attribute a purchase. We do not receive your payment details.
3. How we use information
- To run the site, show comparisons and reviews, and keep the service secure.
- To send the newsletter you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To verify and moderate user reviews and prevent spam, fraud and fake reviews.

Newsletter
When you sign up for the newsletter, we collect the email address you submit so we can send you the newsletter. Along with it we record the page you signed up from, the time, your browser's user-agent and, where enabled, a one-way hashed (not readable) version of your IP address to help prevent abuse. Sign-up addresses are stored in our database, hosted by our database provider, Neon. When someone signs up, the site owner gets an email notice of the new sign-up through our email delivery provider, Resend. We never sell your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time, or ask us to delete your address, by emailing nickboulette1@gmail.com.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Contract (providing an account or newsletter you requested), legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, basic operation), consent (analytics and marketing/affiliate cookies, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate the site (hosting, email delivery, analytics, review moderation), affiliate networks and merchants (click attribution, only with consent), and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information for money. Some affiliate and advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law; you can opt out at any time (Section 7).
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: newsletter data until you unsubscribe; review data for the life of the review plus 12 months; analytics data for up to 12 months; server logs for up to 30 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and (California and other US states) to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer, or the Cookie settings link, or email nickboulette1@gmail.com. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
8. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Changes
We will post updates here and change the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or by email.
